The Primary school

The public school of premilhat, situated in the heart of the village dating from 1977/78,was built to cater for the increasing numbers of pupils because of the construction of 50 new houses in the nearby housing estate.Initially, the school had only 4 classrooms however today it has 6 classrooms with a total of 140 pupils.

At the start of the school year in September 2001 58 children entered playschool and 82 entered primary school. After they leave CM2 (6th class) they continue their studies in a secondary school in Montlucon.

There are 7 teachers including the Headmaster and deputy headmaster in the school.

There are 2 educational assistants and 1 workers aid (ATSEM) who assist the teachers during class hours.A canteen is available to the pupils and a school centre receives the pupils in the morning before classes begin (7am-9am) and again after school has finished (4.30pm-6pm)

In the course of the year, outside of school work, the children of Premilhat school have a wide range of activities: sports events (Friendly matches with the neighbouring schools), cultural activities (theatres, concerts and choirs) and artistic activities (museums,exhibitions)...
